Cor Aerssens

Cor Aerssens from Groningen in Holland, started to work with bookbindery more than 35 years ago. After a deviation where he trained and worked as a carpenter for some years, he then returned to the field of bookbindery about two decades ago, specializing in boxes. Over the years, Cor Aerssens has developed his personal style and says himself that he is extremely usability oriented. The boxes should be solid, have a good design and an optimal finish.

In 1995, he took a teaching degree and has since tutored and given workshops for both beginners and professional box builders. The last four years, Cor has been teaching abroad and is e.g. responsible for the box workshops at centro del bel libro in Ascona, Switzerland.
