Mihiro Chuya

Mihiro Chuya

From Komatsu, Japan, Mihiro Chuya studied bookbindery in Leksands Folkhögskola in Sweden. Following her studies, she worked for two years in Kanazawa, Japan at the town library. During this time, she also interned at a studio for paper conservation, learning about traditional Japanese paper techniques. Subsequently, Mihiro Chuya worked for three years in Sao Paulo, Brasil, with several book collections and different conservation projects.

Since her internship in Kanazawa, Japan, she also continued to develop her technique in Origami. In 2006, Mihiro Chuya moved to Sweden and presently lives in Stockholm.
